Each year all the groups from across Bristol join together for an afternoon of games and fun. Each group also brings along a short performance to share at the merrymoot.
The year our Elfins performed a sketch about the bravest camper, each trying to scare the other campers with their masks. I certainly think I'd be scared if I saw some of these coming .
Following on from their T shirt recycling project earlier in the year the Pioneers told the story of Aunty Meg, a dedicated recyler who turns her old coat into a whole range of new items of clothing.
Following the performances it was time for a quick meal of home made soup, lots of people means a big pan of soup!. The even was rounded off with songs around the camp fire. Great fun if a little chilly!

A New Banner
A number of years ago, our Pioneers made us a group banner, with all the local sights. It's been with us to many camps and events over the years, but as time has gone on and those children have moved up the time has come for a new banner to represent our current members.
Each person has decorated their own section, here are just a few to sample.
Hopefully our new banner will be ready for the Spring camp, watch out for it at local events too.

Slime again
Our last experiments with making play "slime" weren't a great success. Even though we didn't manage to make any slime it was still great fun so we though we'd have another go.
Knowing where we'd gone wring before this time things worked. The slime was quite fun to play with. We also added polystyrene balls, making the mixture much less sticky and more able to hold it's shape.

Best of 2015
As part of our last week in the woods we asked everyone to share their favorite memories of 2015.
Swimming in the sea at summer camp was a particular favorite.

Breakfast in a bag at the bushcraft weekend was another popular memoryhttp://bradleystokewoodcraft.blogspot.co.uk/2015/10/the-last-camp-of-year.html
Spring camp, and in particular the bee game was a hit

At group nights games the recent lanterns and felt balls were the favorite crafts.
We're all looking forward to making plans for the camps and activities in 2016.

Winter woolies
The children had great fun making felted wool balls. After making a ball of white wool in the centre and choosing a variety of colours for the outside, each person dipped their ball into the warm water and added a drop of soap. After that it was a case of using hands to roll and shape the balls.
It was fascinating to see the fluffy fibers felt together and change into a solid ball.

Autumn Lanterns
Following on from last weeks light theme, this week we made autumn lanterns.
First we decorated the paper with leaf rubbings, or other designs. Then made the decorated paper into lanterns.

A little light recycling
All the fireworks and bonfires over the last few days, and with no doubt more to look forward too over the weekend, was the inspiration for tonight's craft
Time to create our own fireworks display, and recycle some old CDs in the process.
